Camp Checklist
TENT CAMPING CHECKLIST
This is a more complete checklist, don't buy any means feel you need to have all this stuff. One of the beauties of camping in a group is SHARING! If you have changes or suggestions please let me know.
This camping checklist is based on the Coleman tent camping checklist.
Sleeping:
Tent
Ground cover or tarp
Whisk broom and dustpan
Thermarest air mattress, air mattress with pump, foam pad
Sleeping bags/blankets
Pillows
Other camping gear
Folding chairs for adults and children
Headlamps, headlamps, headlamps.
Flashlights for adults and children (When you pack, it helps to keep these in an easy-to-locate place in your car so you can immediately get to them)
Battery-operated lantern for inside your tent and for dinnertime (Same as above—should be easy to locate)
Extra batteries
Food storage:
Cooler
Ice or ice substitutes
Plastic bin with lid for non-perishable foods
Plastic ziplock bags (big and small)
Cooking and food preparation:
Propane stove
Griddle/grill to go on stove
Propane
Long-nosed butane lighter
Matches
Pot with lid
Frying pan
Potholder
Mixing bowl (for pancakes)
Spoon for stirring mix
Spatula
Tongs for the grill

Coffee maker/kettle
Extended BBQ fork for marshmallows

Water bottles for hiking and keeping inside the tent at night

Pre-moistened hand wipes
First aid kit
Items like: band aids, antibacterial cream or ointment, poison ivy/oak relief, thermometer, pain reliever, antihistamine, Calamine lotion, hydrocortisone cream, tweezers for removing splinters or ticks, gauze rolls and pads, round tipped scissors for cutting gauze, adhesive tape, sterile cotton balls/swabs.
